I received an electricity account yesterday for three times the amount of my usual bill.
According to what was reported in the Alberton Record last week, there are problems getting the meters read (new contract with a meter reading company). So now in its wisdom, Ekhurhuleni has actually estimated our household usage to be 3437 kwh - when it is usually around 1100 kwh.
What is most annoying, is that just because some people have not done their jobs properly, I have to approach the metro, I have to take my meter reading, and I must spend my time going to their offices, to obtain a new invoice. How can they not actually calculate an average based on prior usage? Where the heck did they get the value of 3437 kwh?.
It's just one error and stupid decision upon another!
Besides this, the account was due on 30 August - I received it on
1 September.
Arghhhhhh ...... Michelle now smiles, takes a deep breath - and feels better for having somewhere to rant!
Wish me luck in my dealings with the metro!
